Meet our Governors

The Governing body, together with the Head Teacher, staff and Local Authority is responsible for the school. We make sure the children receive the best education in a supportive and safe setting. To this end we have three core strategic functions which are:

•  Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction.

• Holding leaders to account for the educational performance of the organisation and its pupils and the effective and efficient performance management of staff.

• Overseeing the financial performance of the organisation and making sure its money is well spent.

The Governing body appoints the Headteacher and delegates to the Head Teacher the responsibility of the day-to-day running of the school. Individual governors cannot speak or act on behalf of the Governing Board-all decisions are made by the Board as a whole.

Our Chair of Governors is Mr Michael Puczylo.
